Borgo Clauiano, in the heart of Friuli, contains the the Foffani Winery, located between the main square and the countryside behind it. The estate is protected by the Fine Arts as historical residence typical of ancient Friuli. The property, since 500 years belonging to the Calligaris family, is now owned by Giovanni Foffani as heritage from his mother Maria Teresa Calligaris. Today’s structures are exactly the same as in an old map of 1774.
The small Foffani Borgo Clauiano Foffani is composed by the residential house, the farm, the nice B&B Casa Antica Mosaici, the two cellars and other rural buildings, used also for art exhibitions, concerts and several other events..
Visitors are welcome for a guided tour or as guests of the small apartment away from any crowd, located in a central position of Friuli. An ideal starting point for numerous excursions.
